How Energy Healing and Animal Communication Helped Luna Overcome Abandonment Stress and Spraying
Navigating emotional grief, boundary confusion, and inappropriate elimination in companion cats through energy healing with Qigong and Scalar.
Client Privacy Note: Names of animals and their humans have been changed and locations approximated to protect client confidentiality. Details of the energy work are shared as they happened.
Case at a Glance:
- Animal: Luna (4-Year-Old Calico Cat)
- Primary Issue: Spraying and peeing outside the litter box after a close family member moved out of the house. Preliminary veterinary checks did not reveal any underlying medical condition.
- Energetic Findings: Emotionally and energetically tethered to her former primary human, weak Solar Plexus chakra (confidence/boundaries), active frustration/fear in the Sacral chakra, and deep boundary confusion.
- Modalities Used: Animal Communication, Qigong, and Scalar Wave energy healing.
- Outcome: Transitioned back to using the litter box completely, ceased inappropriate elimination, and became a deeply affectionate cuddle-bug with her new guardians.
I receive a lot of inquiries about litter box issues and spraying, and there is never a single common thread among them. Spraying is messy for everyone involved. It’s messy to clean up, nobody wants their home smelling of cat urine, and in my experience, most cats want that even less than we do. When a cat sprays anyway, something underneath is louder than that instinct for cleanliness.
Once a veterinarian rules out a physical cause, the root is almost always emotional and energetic. This was true for Luna, a four-year-old calico, and her story is one I think about often.
Before anything else: preliminary veterinary checks did not reveal any underlying medical condition. Denis and I agreed to try energy healing first, with the understanding that further testing was always on the table if things didn’t shift. If your own cat is spraying or missing the litter box, start with your vet. Rule out the physical piece before assuming it’s anything else.
A Home That Changed Shape
Luna had spent years living almost exclusively in the room of Denis’s sister, in a close, deeply bonded relationship. When his sister left home for college, Luna came into the care of Denis and his wife. Shortly after, Luna started peeing and spraying everywhere.
Denis suspected Luna was crying out for attention. What was actually happening ran much deeper. His sister missed Luna, and checked in on her often through video calls with Denis. To a person, that feels like love reaching across the distance. To a cat, it’s something closer to chaos: hearing her human’s voice, sensing her presence and her focus, and yet never having her actually there. Luna was caught in limbo, half with Denis and half still waiting for a return that never came, without ever being given permission to let go.
December 16th: Animal Communication and the First Energy Healing Session
I connected with Luna to hear her side of things before touching the problem directly. She came through highly expressive, vocal, playful, and mischievous, the kind of cat who loved jumping up to catch things, moving fast, and getting attention from every house on the street. She loved real fish over anything packaged, loved cool fresh air, and was warm with people even though she kept her distance from other cats.
Underneath that spark, she was still energetically tethered to the woman who’d left. My guidance to Denis was direct: his sister needed to disengage mentally and stop checking in on Luna so often. Every call reactivated the old connection and pulled Luna straight back into confusion about who was actually coming home. She needed real space to move on, and she couldn’t find it while still being quietly held from a distance by someone who had already gone.
A body scan showed nothing physically alarming. What stood out instead was a charged mix of anger, frustration, and fear that had hardened into habit. Spraying had become Luna’s way of finding comfort and expressing a disorientation she had no other language for. What she needed most was for Denis to become her steady emotional anchor, someone she could orient toward instead of someone she kept testing.
The first energy healing session used Qigong and Scalar work centered on Earth element balancing, grounding her scattered field to restore stability and presence. I worked to untangle the emotional tethers still keeping her in waiting mode, and cleared her sacral, heart, and third eye chakras while giving focused strength to her solar plexus, which was weak and depleted, the seat of the confidence and boundaries she’d lost.
The Messy Middle: Progress and a Setback
Three days after that first session, Denis wrote with real relief: “Luna sprayed only once after your session till now, otherwise she would have done that multiple times.”
In the follow-up session, I continued the same Earth element work, this time adding protective shielding to strengthen Luna’s Wei Chi, her body’s outer energetic boundary.
Not long after, Denis had to travel, something that had always been hard on Luna. While he was away and she was in his wife’s care, on December 22nd, he wrote again: “As I was out of station she was with my wife yesterday. She wanted to go outside at night around 4 AM, to wake her up she sprayed a little again on our bed headrest.”
Healing an attachment wound this old rarely moves in a straight line. The moment the person she’d rebuilt her sense of safety around left again, even briefly, the old fear surfaced exactly where it always had.
We scheduled an immediate follow-up. In communication, Luna expressed real anger, resentment, and a fear of being left behind again, along with a strong urge to hide. The energy healing session that followed mirrored the earlier ones, clearing that resistance and continuing the grounding work.
Two days later, Denis reported the episodes had dropped to once or twice a week. We agreed to give Luna space to keep adjusting on her own.

Where Luna Is Now
A couple of weeks later, Denis’s final update: “Luna either uses the litter box or goes out. She has also become more affectionate. She stays in with us more and loves to cuddle with us.”
Once the tethers to her old life were gently released, Luna was free to actually be who she was, no longer split between two homes, no longer waiting on a voice through a screen. With her field grounded and her solar plexus strong again, she stopped spraying, returned fully to her litter box, and opened up completely to Denis and his wife.
What This Case Taught Me
Luna had her own story, the same way every cat who sprays has their own story. This is where animal communication and energy healing matter most: moving past a generic checklist, listening directly to what the cat is actually carrying, and addressing the root instead of managing the symptom.
