Chronic kidney disease doesn’t move the same way for every cat, and I want to say that clearly before this story begins. Some cases are caught early and stay well managed for a long time. Others progress fast and hard, and in those, energy healing can meaningfully improve quality of life without reversing the disease itself. Liam’s story sits in a real middle ground: genuine medical progress, held together by ongoing care, over years, not weeks.

A Diagnosis That Felt Like an Ending

Marie came to me in tears. Liam, seven years old, had just been diagnosed with advanced CKD, and his vet had told her he might not have long. He hadn’t eaten on his own in two days and was on subcutaneous drips. Marie had heard about energy healing and wanted to know if it could help him in any way.

December 21st, 2022: Animal Communication

When I connected with Liam, he came through as sensitive and shy with anyone new, but entirely different with Marie. Speaking of her was like watching light move through him. He loved cuddling with her, came for belly rubs, and when Marie herself had once been unwell, he’d come and lie against her with his whole body, instinctively knowing that closeness would help her heal. He was fast on his feet in a way that felt almost otherworldly, able to cross the house in a flash, and there was something genuinely fairy-like about his presence. His spiritual and energetic strength felt immense. His physical body, by contrast, felt frail.

He hated the doorbell and loved warm, cozy corners, with watchtowers set up around the house where he could hide and watch the world. He adored watching birds through the window, almost as if he were quietly gathering intelligence from them, and he was clear that he’d never hurt one. Hunting didn’t interest him. Watching did.

The Intuitive Body Scan

The body scan told a harder story. His Qi read as very weak, his blood felt faded, and his bones and marrow felt depleted. His hips and legs carried real weakness. His lower abdomen, the body’s seat of Qi, was the weakest point of all, and his digestion and liver meridian were struggling too. I saw an image of him scooting, which Marie later confirmed matched his occasional constipation. His heart, remarkably, still read strong and vibrant, and his third eye was the brightest point in his entire field.

The scan lined up with what the vet had already found: CKD, alongside off liver values and a low platelet count.

Where It Began

Marie asked the question every guardian in her position asks. Had she done something to cause this? What came through was an image from Liam’s earliest days, the runt of his litter, separated from his mother, barely surviving. Marie confirmed it. Liam had come to her at four weeks old, skinny and malnourished, with no sign of his mother anywhere. He very likely wouldn’t have survived if she hadn’t found him.

The First Energy Healing For The Cat With Chronic Kidney Disease

Given how quickly Liam was declining, I began with a Shamanic session, calling in healing allies and Liam’s own spirit guides to support his recovery, and closed with a Reiki attunement. In acute situations like this, I’ve seen Reiki attunements do things that genuinely surprise me. Afterward, Liam got up and drank water on his own, and nibbled a little food. His appetite was still low, but it was real movement forward.

December 23rd to 26th: Daily Energy Healing

I knew now that Liam was responding, so we continued daily, working with Scalar energy and adding Qigong to help reset his patterns and rebuild strength in his energy centers, which were still very weak.

Why Energy Healing Helps Cats With Chronic Kidney Disease

Energy healing was never about curing Liam’s illness directly. It was about creating the conditions where his own body’s intelligence could take over the work of healing itself. In Liam’s case, that meant shifting him into his parasympathetic nervous system, the state of rest and repair, and letting Scalar hold the balance that made that shift possible. His body did the rest.

Small Signs of Progress

Each session brought small, real signs. He started walking around more. He remained fussy about food at first, though interested enough to nibble. A follow-up animal communication session revealed why: he wanted to eat, and would walk toward his bowl, but the smell of the food itself was making him nauseous.

By day four, he was eating on his own. In that session, Liam spoke about his favorite wet food, and how easily he got bored eating the same thing repeatedly. Marie began rotating his food to keep him interested, and it became a standing part of his care from then on.

A Turning Point in the Bloodwork

Under her vet’s supervision, Marie repeated Liam’s bloodwork. His creatinine had dropped further than expected. He had moved from Stage 4 back to Stage 3.

Marie wrote to me not long after:

“The doctor says that Liam is no longer in critical stage. He had adjusted the medications, and I will take him again for a check-up after 2 weeks. I cannot even imagine how to express my gratitude to you. I thought I was about to lose my boy. And you turned it around, and gave up new hope. Liam is much more active now. We are cuddling again and he is chasing his rainbow toy again.”

I want to be clear about what actually turned this around. It was Marie’s vet adjusting his medications. It was Marie’s own devoted care, and her willingness to continue the work until Liam would eat again. And it was the daily energy healing, creating space for his body to do what it already knew how to do. All three, together, moved him from Stage 4 to Stage 3.

Living With Chronic Kidney Disease, And How Energy Healing Is Helping This Cat

Even with that real progress, Marie and I both knew a chronic condition like this needed continuous support, not a finish line. We tapered the sessions down to once a week. Liam settled into a rhythm of good days and harder ones, some weeks smooth, others marked by a dip in appetite, a short temper, or an upset stomach.

It’s been four years now. Liam is still here. Marie has since trained in energy work herself, and manages most of his day-to-day support on her own. When he moves through a harder, more acute phase, she reaches out, and I work with him closely again for a week or so until he steadies.

I don’t know how much time Liam has left. What I do know is that, with energy healing as part of his ongoing care, he has had real, extra support in living with ease.
